We use your information to: provide estimates and quotes; schedule meetings and consultations; communicate about your project; connect you with our lender and subcontractor networks; send service updates and important account notifications; and improve our services and customer experience. Financial details are collected at the lender's secure checkout page — we never store credit card or banking information on our servers.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted partners necessary to serve you — such as lenders providing financing offers and subcontractors assigned to your project — and only the minimum needed. All partners are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure cloud storage, and restricted access controls to protect your information. While no system is 100% secure, we continuously monitor and update our safeguards. Financial transactions are processed through our PCI-compliant payment partners (Stripe), ensuring your payment details never touch our servers.
Email Communications
When you request a quote or create an account, you'll receive transactional emails about your project. You may also receive periodic newsletters and market updates. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Transactional emails (project updates, scheduling confirmations) cannot be opted out of while your project is active.
Text Message Communications
With your consent, we may send SMS text messages for appointment reminders, project status alerts, and urgent updates. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can opt in or out of text messaging at any time — see our Text Message Opt-In page for full details. You can also reply STOP to any message to immediately unsubscribe.
Your Right to Delete Your Data
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, email us at info@truecost.homes with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the name and email associated with your account. We will permanently delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days of receiving your request. Please note that we may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as financial records related to completed transactions.
